BELLS
I have been reading the book Exiles by Michael Frost recently. In it he mentions his church Small Boat Big Sea. They have a liturgy they follow in their worship times. The liturgy is BELLS. The B is for Blessing..they take time to bless each other with words (their own or classic blessings). The E is for Eat...they eat together as well as share in communion. L is for listening...they have a time of silence in order for people to slow down, listen for God's voice and respond to God's prompting. The second L is for learning...they include a teaching time look at trends in culture as well as other things from Scripture. The final letter S is Sent-ness in which people share a story or a need for prayer or a point of encouragement about their missional activity.
I have been thinking about BELLS recently and how we as Veritas might live this liturgy out in our context and within our House Church. I would be open to your comments, questions, suggestions, or anything....
