Politics

So I have actually been trying to pay attention to the Political race that is now just starting to rev up to the November elections when we will elect a new president. I have to say, that I am actually finding it quite interesting. The other night I actually watched part of the New Hampshire Debates (both the Republican and Democrat). I have to say that I am more and more becoming an independent. I am not fully Republican (though some of their values, I value...for instance the conservative stance that most Republican's have on Abortion). I am not fully Democrat (thought some of their values, I value...their stance on the war, their talk in regards to the poor, etc..). I would love to create my own frankinpolician (I think I created a new word). I would love to take some of the values that Obama has, some of the values that Huckabee has, some from Romney, some from Edwards, some from Clinton, and some from Ron Paul (he is a real interesting republican) and come up with my own presidential candidate...but alas..that can't be done.
I have also heard alot about hope and change...and I realize that these things are definitely needed in our time and in our country. But as I prayed the other day at Hempfield..that true hope and true change can only be done by Jesus.

So I for one agree with Shane Claiborne and say, "Jesus for President"

I'll be interested to see who comes out as both parties candidate and then I will look further into their stance on issues, and vote from there. But I believe all of us need to be informed and then vote.
