The first followers of Jesus didn't meet in cavernous buildings or great works of architecture. They met in homes. While this met a practical need it also helped to create strong communities among small groups of followers.
Veritas house churches meet twice monthly. We normally enjoy a meal together, giving us a chance to bond and leave the world at the door. We follow our meal with a time a prayer and study with discussion. It's in this less formal and more open setting that we move from a lecture setting into a group discussion one. This allows each of us to raise questions or answer them. Most importantly it allows for interaction between the community and a chance to make lasting and caring friends.
